New in SOLIDWORKS PDM
SOLIDWORKS PDM sees updates that increase data efficiency, allowing you to protect your data and manage files, BOMs, and user access better than before.
Here are the 2026 updates
- Recover checked-out modified files from an automated backup
- Streamline workflow administration with archiving
- Control user access to subfolders without exposing parent folders
- View static image previews of third-party CAD files by default
- View and edit Named Bill of Materials (BOMs) within Web2
- Experience new collapsible variable panels
- Improve secure data transfer with AES-256 encryption
- Improve database upgrades with better progress tracking and clearer reporting
- Experience improved Conver Task options (such as Office-to-PDF conversion)
- Extend authentication support to include Kerberos, NTLM, and NTLMv2
