At Hawk Ridge Systems, we are committed to bringing you the best in engineering tools, resources and support so that you can make world-changing products. We also hope to keep you in the know about what’s going on in the SOLIDWORKS community.

With that, you may have heard by now that the price for SOLIDWORKS licenses is going up.

SOLIDWORKS License Price Increase Summary

Starting April 1, 2022, the following licenses will increase:

  • SOLIDWORKS desktop perpetual license – five percent increase on all products except DraftSight.
  • SOLIDWORKS network licenses – 19 percent increase, including PDM.

You likely have questions, and we hope to address most of the common concerns surrounding this price adjustment now.

Why Are We Changing the Pricing on SOLIDWORKS?

This is actually a move from Dassault Systèmes and as a value-added reseller, we abide by their decisions on prices, releases and any other relevant product information.

The good news? There will be a reduction in cost for SOLIDWORKS term licenses. You can choose between three month or one-year increments for term licenses.

For those that aren’t familiar with the term option, you’re essentially leasing a license of SOLIDWORKS for a specific time. This option is great for those that are needing the software for a few short-term projects or aren’t ready for the commitment and upfront cost of a perpetual license.

Contact us for any questions you have on term licensing options.

FAQs surrounding latest SOLIDWORKS price increase

Can I Lock in Current Pricing on SOLIDWORKS?

Absolutely! Until March 31, 2022, you can take advantage of the SOLIDWORKS pricing that you’ve been used to for the past several years.

Whether you’re wanting to add licenses or have been on the fence about switching to SOLIDWORKS, now is a great time to take advantage of current pricing. Simply reach out to your account representative for a new quote.

Worried About Your Upcoming Renewal?

Don’t be. If you’ve received a current renewal quote for next month’s Subscription, we will honor the software price you were given in your quote from us.

Can I Bring Licenses That Are No Longer on Subscription Current?

Yes. While the cost of a new standalone perpetual license is increasing by five percent, Subscription for standalone licensing is not increasing.

For network licensing, Subscription is increasing by 14 percent.

With all of these upcoming price increases, now is the time to secure and save with current SOLIDWORKS license prices.
