Key Features & Benefits

Large Processing Chamber

With a processing chamber volume of 80L, the DM60 can dye an entire HP Multi Jet Fusion 5200 build in one run. This minimizes operator involvement in adding vibrant colors to 3D-printed parts.

Rapid Cycle Times

With a processing time of 150 minutes, the DM60 can complete dozens or hundreds of parts in a single day. This efficiency reduces the total cost per part and limits operator involvement in manual dyeing.

Far-Reaching Material Compatibility

The DM60 uses dyes compatible with various powder-based printing methods, including HSS, MJF, SAF, and SLS. Formulas for CDLP/CLIP, DLP, and SLA technologies are also available, ensuring broad applicability.

Integrated RFID Reader

Each DM60 color cartridge has a built-in RFID chip containing recipes based on material type, final desired color, and surface finish. Scanning a cartridge before loading removes all guesswork from the part dyeing process, enhancing accuracy and ease of use.

Self-Cleaning Chamber

The DM60 allows operators to switch dye colors between runs efficiently thanks to a built-in chamber cleaning system. This feature further reduces operator interaction when swapping colors between batches.

Black-Only Dyeing Configuration

For organizations that only require black-dyed parts, DyeMansion offers a dedicated black-only part coloring option for the DM60. These units are upgradeable at any time to be compatible with color dyeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the largest part that the DM60 coloring system can process?
The largest single part size that the DM60 can accommodate is 390mm x 360mm. For smaller parts, the DM60 process chamber totals 80L, which is enough to process one HP Multi Jet Unit run in a single build.
What colors are available for parts dyed using a DM60?
Through a vast library of standard colors and specialized product catalogs, the options for coloring parts when using a DM60 are technically limitless. DyeMansion can also color-match an existing physical product based on the printing technology in use. This ensures that DM60 colored parts are true to life out of the system.
Is the DM60 easy to load and operate?
Through the use of a removable basket, operators can load or remove their parts from a DyeMansion coloring system quickly and efficiently. Each color cartridge also has an RFID chip containing information to set up coloring runs easily. This removes all guesswork compared to more manual methods of part coloring.
How much water does the DM60 use?
The DyeMansion DM60 uses a maximum of 150L (39.6 gallons) of water per coloring and cleaning process. When combined with the DM60 ROS, the quality of source water will stay consistent across all coloring runs.
Are there any other facility requirements that the DM60 requires?
Beyond a source of water for the coloring process, the DM60 requires compressed air. The DM60 uses less than 1.5 m3 of air for a single run.
Can the DM60 produce parts safe for direct skin contact?
DM60 colors are ISO-certified across a large range of industries and applications, including medical applications such as Orthotists and Prosthetists. If you have questions about a specific application, reach out to Hawk Ridge Systems today!
Can I switch between multiple colors without a “bleeding” effect for different parts?
The DM60 includes a thorough and automated self-cleaning cycle, which removes all potential for missing old coloring agents before switching to a new color. With the DM60 Reservoir add-on, operators can quickly pivot back to a common base color if needed.
