Industry-Leading Software Solution for Every Stage from Design to Manufacturing
CATIA is widely known for its large assembly design and advanced surfacing functionality. However, design is only the foundation of CATIA; it also offers a wide array of modules you can add for advanced capabilities from G3 surfacing, to composites, to kinematic simulation, to other complete PLM solutions.
There are two proven solutions when it comes to the CATIA ecosystem. CATIA V5, which has been widely adopted by the industry for the last 20 years, offers a robust solution installed directly to your workstation. CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE is the latest technology, created to mirror every aspect of V5, except it is connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE cloud and has an updated user interface and enhanced collaboration tools.
If you are designing large, complex models like are often found in the aerospace, automotive, or marine industries, CATIA can vastly improve your design-to-manufacturing process. Whether you choose CATIA V5 or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, you will be part of a vast network of professionals and have the foundation for a complete design-to-manufacturing solution. The possibilities are endless.
Virtual To Real Shape Morphing (CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE ONLY)
Please note: These are pre-packaged options that include some of the most
common tools. These packages are not limited to what is listed here and
there are many more additions available such as advanced simulation, complex
composites, and much more.
HOW CAN HAWK RIDGE SYSTEMS HELP?
The team at Hawk Ridge Systems is fueled by the need to provide best-in-class services and support. We have been “in the huddle” with engineers like you to solve design challenges for over 20 years.
We have worked closely with several SOLIDWORKS customers struggling with extremely large assemblies. Instead of completely switching all design aspects to CATIA, we successfully introduced what we like to call the hybrid process. This process continues to use SOLIDWORKS for all product design and CATIA to compile it all together, taking advantage of its large assembly support.
Often our customers are required to view CATIA models or even create their designs in CATIA to satisfy a specific contract. This is something we are very experienced with and have helped many companies satisfy this requirement.
We work with a lot of contractors, and it is quite common for certain jobs to require CATIA for several months, then not use it at all for a period, before needing it again for a new job. We see this all the time and have the perfect solution with term licensing: activate it when you need it for a set amount of time and only renew what you need.
SERVICES
MORE THAN JUST A PROVIDER
We are always here to help and absolutely love a good challenge. From software implementation to design services, if you need anything at all when it comes to CATIA or 3DEXPERIENCE, we are here for you.
TRAINING
IMPROVE PERFORMANCE THROUGH TAILORED LEARNING
We offer complete on-demand training covering everything you need to know to get started with both CATIA V5 and CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE. These are conveniently broken up into easy-to-understand video segments, which work well with busy schedules.
SUPPORT
TOP-RANKED SUPPORT, COMMITTED TO YOUR SUCCESS
At Hawk Ridge Systems we pride ourselves in our world-class customer support, having supported design engineers since 1996. If you ever have a problem, we will get you answers quickly and make sure your downtime is as minimal as possible.
This is a very common question. First off, both products are going to be
around for the foreseeable future, and both can be leased quarterly or
yearly. Leasing lets you get started right away and change platforms when
you are ready if you choose. We typically suggest that if you are working
with stakeholders running a certain version, it’s a good idea to stick
with that. If you are not working directly partners and you want the
latest in technology, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE might be a good fit.
I am looking at both SOLIDWORKS and
CATIA, which is right for me?
It really depends on your unique situation. Most cases typically lean
toward SOLIDWORKS because it is designed to be easy to learn and can
handle most designs. CATIA really is for exceptionally large, complex
designs. Both platforms are purpose driven. Give us a call and we will
look at your specific needs to guide you in the right direction.
We are a startup and work with
several companies using CATIA. We need CATIA today but may or may not need
it for future projects.
The best option would be to go with term licensing; this is a lease that
can be set up for 3 months or annually. If you do not know what package
you need to go with or how long you will need it, it is a good option for
getting started fast.
If we choose to go with CATIA
3DEXPERIENCE and need to revert back to V5 later, will that be a problem?
CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE has a roll-back function for exporting to previous
versions. These exports will open in previous versions such as V5,
however, the feature tree will be missing and will import as a solid body.
With CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, where are
my files being saved on the cloud?
All files are saved on secure DS servers using banking-level security
technology.
How easy is it to tack on a new
CATIA module later?
Both versions allow for easy future additions. If you require more
capabilities, we will get that added to your existing license and help you
with licensing and installation.
