Best-in-Class Accuracy in a Scanning System Accessible to Operators of All Skill Levels

Hexagon is a world leader in metrology systems. The Absolute Arm and attachable 3D scanners comprise the world’s most versatile measurement system owing to their modular design. Use the arm as a standalone probing device and measure hole locations at record speed, or attach one of Hexagon’s cutting-edge 3D scanners for surface data collection. Switch seamlessly between probing and scanning with the flick of a switch. You can detach both the scanner and pistol grip to access tight spaces and reattach them in seconds with no need for recalibration. While detached, the AS1 scanner can even be used as a handheld while in combination with a laser tracker for unrivaled freedom of movement and best-in-class accuracy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are the lasers on the Hexagon scanners eye-safe?
Yes, the lasers on both the AS1 and RS5 are safe for your eyes.
Will this system require that I put stickers or targets on objects in order to scan them?
No. The arm maps the data together using encoders in the joints of the arm, so it does not require targets.
Will the Hexagon scanners handle very shiny objects?
Depending on which scanner you choose, yes. The blue laser in the AS1 can handle extremely shiny surfaces like polished chrome. The RS5 will work well for moderately shiny parts, like unpolished machined steel parts.
