Description
This class teaches the essential skills for using the SOLIDWORKS CAM and CAMWorks 2.5 Axis Milling software. Learn CAM essentials and User Interface, Automatic Feature Recognition and Operation Modification, Interactive Feature Recognition, Interactive Operations, Pattern Features, Advanced Features and Operations, Customizing the Technology Database, Considerations for Waterjet – Plasma – Laser, and Tolerance Based Machining. This will also cover all of the basic turning functions to program a CNC lathe.
PREREQUISITES: General knowledge of computers and a Microsoft Windows operating system as a user. Experience using CNC equipment. Solid modeling experience a plus.
