A while back we wrote a post on the SolidNetwork License Manager Options file. We covered how you can control who can access or not access your SOLIDWORKS licenses. We covered some of the different commands to use for this. Now we will cover the different license types you can control as well.
Network license option files are not just for SOLIDWORKS they will allow you to control all your network licenses. You can have many different programs and all have unique feature names that SOLIDWORKS uses for them. Like SOLIDWORKS Premium is swofficepremium but SOLIDWORKS Simulation is cae_cwadvpro. The feature names to go back to the original names they had SOLIDWORKS Premium was originally SOLIDWORKS Office Premium and Simulation was CosmosWorks Advanced Professional.
Besides the couple I have already mentioned there are many that can be used. Below is a list of a handful of these and then a couple examples of how they are used.
SOLIDWORKS = solidworks
SOLIDWORKS Professional = swofficepro
SOLIDWORKS Simulation Standard = cae_cwstd
SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional = cae_cwpro
SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation = cae_cosmosfloworkspe
SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional CAD Editor = swepdm_cadeditor
SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional Contributor = swepdm_contributor
SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard CAD Editor = swpdmstd_cadeditor
SOLIDWORKS Electrical Professional = elecpro
SOLIDWORKS Composer = swcomposer
SOLIDWORKS Inspection Professional = swinspection_pro
SOLIDWORKS MBD = swmbd_std
DraftSight Enterprise = draftsightpremium
Now here a couple examples of these being used for a SolidNetwork Options file.
GROUP PDM ADMIN admin1 admin2 admin3
TIMEOUT swepdm_contributor 600
RESERVE 2 swepdm_cadeditor GROUP PDM ADMIN
EXCLUDE cae_cosmosfloworkspe USER intern
I hope this was helpful, this is just a short list of these feature names. So if you do not see the product you are looking for contact you reseller or visit the Customer Portal or MySolidworks.com sites.
